When this Beaumaris family wanted to encourage their 8 and 10-year-old kids to spend less time on devices, they had their hearts set on a backyard pool. The only problem? Their property had incredibly tight access that would test even the most experienced installation team.
The Build
- Pool: Valentina
- Size: 8x4m
- Colour: Silvermist
- Access Solution: 80-tonne crane lift over the property via neighbouring property
- Excavation: 2-day installation with access limited to one side of the house
- Pool Equipment: Salt Chlorinator, Variable Speed Pump, Automatic Pool Cleaner, and Spa Electrics LED lighting
The Outcome Fast-forward several years: those young kids are now teenagers, and their home has become the gathering place for friends after school. The extended bench seat and side entry steps of the Valentina design make it the perfect spot for relaxing and hanging out poolside – whether you’re swimming or just socialising. What started as a way to create screen-free family time has evolved into a space that brings friends and family together.
The trickiest installations often become the most rewarding projects.
